I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
